Blood Shed - Part 2

Matt eagerly opened the envelope, that carried the test result of the crystal analysis. He preserved every single bit of the crystal from the object and sent hardly a gram of it for analysis. He was shocked to learn that the crystals are human blood mixed with cocaine. He understood that there was something fishy about the object and wanted to delve deep into this.

Many months gone by, before he saw a similar object roaming in the woods on a cold Sunday night. When he tried to reach it, he noticed a tall man, wearing a long leather jacket and a winter hat, was walking quickly towards it. He picked it up, dropped it in his bag, and typed something swiftly in his mobile. Then he disappeared in the dark. Matt could hardly see his face.

The thoughts about the object, crystals and the weird man, kept bouncing in his head. He wanted to get to the bottom of this. Few days later, he went to an apartment in Benchill, to deliver take away. Matt had a strange feeling when he saw the man of the house. He was told to wait at the door, when the strange man went inside his room to fetch money. As Matt was waiting near the doorway for money, his eyes surfed through the lounge and found some weird objects there. The room smelled different. It did not stink but it wasn't pleasant either. At one corner of the lounge, just above the clutter of papers, he saw the 'object' lying upside down. And he noticed a long leather jacket hanging from the hooks, on the wall, next to the doorstep. He confirmed that it was the same man he saw in the woods, the other day. He noted down the name, address and contact number from the order receipt.

Matt understood that this guy Sean, was the only hope in digging out the secrets clinging on to the object. Matt tried following him, but he is no 007. He sketched so many plans, but everything was in vain.

After few weeks, he got an order for takeaway delivery from Sean. He was very much waiting for it. He delivered the food to Sean and waited near the door, for him to pay. When Sean went into his room, Matt quickly dropped a device into the leather jacket and winked at the 'object', that was still lying upside down at the corner. When Sean paid him, Matt gave a visiting card to him, which had the takeaway name and contact details embossed on it. Matt insisted in saving that card for future discounts and he was feeling successful to see Sean keep the card in his wallet.
