Karthik’s first stop was obviously to try his luck, to retrieve the package that Priya mentioned. He believed that it would resolve most of the mystery and could get him closer to the real culprit.
Karthik did a lot of groundwork about the hospital and especially about the server room. He was adamant not to disturb Priya, whatsoever. Using his influence, he was able to get to know the firm and in particular the administrators, who were in charge of maintenance and operations of the server and the system. His techie friend helped him to hack into the system and upload a non malicious virus and in turn a maintenance call was sent to the firm. Karthik pretended to be the assistant of one of the administrators who serviced the call and entered the hospital. He was prepared to face any unexpected circumstances. Also, in spite of putting in so much efforts, he kept his expectations low on retrieving the pack. He thought that the rogues who chased Priya, would have managed to retrieve the package. But, it was an easy piece of cake for him to grab the package. He wondered how it happened!!
He rushed home to find out the content. When he opened the package, he saw a bunch of photocopied official customs documents and a smart phone. The phone wouldn't switch on due to dead battery. He charged the mobile and meanwhile went through the documents that he just retrieved.
When the phone managed to get some life, Karthik couldn't wait anymore to turn it on. He browsed through the contents, files and folders in the mobile. Nothing much was there. He surfed through the gallery, where the biggest surprise awaited. There were few videos and absolutely no pictures. He started to play them one after the other.
